1. Teach the One-Pass-Away Rule First<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Help defense basketball starts with stance and position. One pass away, defenders deny the passing lane using what we call a deny stance<\/strong>: butt to the ball, a hand and foot in the passing lane, chin on the shoulder, palm away, and thumb down.
